Used the boots doing plumbing work in very wet muddy conditions. Kept my feet dry and confortable. Easy to put on and take off.

In Texas, we have terrible fire ants and lots of poisonous spiders. These pests will bite through gym shoes and thick socks and cause real pain. After being bitten so many times in past years, my wife purchased these boots for me. With these boots and having steel toes, nothing is getting to my feet. They are a bit warm to wear in the summer, but it is worth the small discomfort.

Perhaps they changed the style and cheapened it, because these are just flat black floppy boots. I ordered 12s, and they were too big. 11s are closer, but they had only 1 pair of 11s (still a little too large), but the 11s looked like at least one customer had taken them for a spin around the store. At least when I tried the 12s, I took them to a carpeted area with a lawn furniture display. I like to put the first miles on new cars and new footwear. (Thinking back, I wish I’d have tried the 10s!)

These boots fit large so buy a half size down. They are just rubber boots so with cold weather, you must wear thick socks. Overall for what the intention of the boots are, it is comfortable on the feet. The sole did not tire you after a few hours at a time. The steel toe is great. Highly recommened over the conventional rubber boots.
