The Chill-Its 6665 Evaporative Cooling Vest is made with an advanced polymer-embedded fabric to provide workers with immediate core cooling relief from the heat. This lightweight cooling vest is made of comfortable and durable quilted nylon exterior with mesh side panels for ventilation and stretch. Wear this body cooling vest over a t-shirt. A water-repellant liner keeps the interior of the vest as dry as possible when activated, though wearers should expect to feel some dampness or wetness. Evaporative cooling technologies such as embedded polymers are a simple, effective and comfortable solution for heat stress prevention. Similar to how sweat cools the body, evaporative technologies use an external water source to draw heat away helping to regulate body temperature while providing cool relief. Soak in water for 2-5 minutes to activate. The embedded polymers will retain water for up to four hours of cooling relief. Hand wash as needed and hang to dry.

I had an eight-hour motorcycle ride to get back home. The temperature was reported as “feels-like” 104ยบ F. Fifteen minutes before I arrived home the car behind me decided to run the yellow light, the only problem, I was stopped at the light right in front of him. If I had not been 100 percent alert, I would have been creamed and possibly dead. This vest kept me cool and alert, saved me from heat exhaustion and fatigue and made my long ride home not only safer, but also fun. When the temperatures soar, this vest is always in my kit.

bought this vest late last year for a motercycle ride back home, worked great… went to use it today and it won’t hold hardley any water. I was on my boat so I was able to resoak it about every hour. I don’t know if I let it dry out to much over the winter or why it won’t hold the water. I will let it soak over night and see if holds water better tomorrow. As of now I would not recomend you buying one unless you only want to buy one every year. Will update if it holds water tomorrow.
