The GloWear 8916 lightweight Hi-Vis rain pants offer protection against wet conditions while ensuring safety. A comfortable elastic waistband means these waterproof work pants can be worn alone or over a base layer, while the pant legs have snap cuffs to easily fit over boots and tightened to keep the wind out. These work rain pants are built for demanding conditions and are made with rugged, yet lightweight waterproof materials (150D polyester oxford material with a polyurethane (PU) coating) and fully taped at the seams for reliable protection in the face of stormy weather. The ANSI/ISEA 107 compliant high visibility polyester fabric and 2 reflective tape keeps workers highly visible at night or in low light conditions. These hi-vis waterproof pants meet ANSI 107 supplemental class E standards. Made for the industrial workplace and workers in low-light environments, flagging crews, utility crews, road construction, railway workers and any others working in the rain.

These are great for when a sudden rain hits, and you don’t feel like pulling off your boots just to get your rain pants on. These are large enough to slide over my Danner boots. If you do hard labor in them for a long period of time, you may overheat in these, but for most stuff they are wonderful for an entry level rain pant. Far superior to everything else in this price range. Also, I’m pretty sure you can be seen from outer space. They are bright!

My original plan for these was to include them in my roadside emergency kit, but I found that they also serve extremely well when I’m pressure washing machine components during a restoration. Combined with my rubber boots, they keep me absolutely dry, instead of soaked through to my socks. I wouldn’t want to spend all day wearing them, as they aren’t the most breathable, but for a basic “I-need-to-stay-dry-right-now” rain pant, they are fantastic.
