The N-Ferno® 6962 FR Neck Gaiter is dual compliant to two flame-resistant standards, NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112, for protection against both arc flash and flash fire. This versatile, no-bulk winter gaiter blocks out all the elements to keep you safe and warm in the most demanding conditions. This FR neck gaiter is constructed of Polartec® FR Power Grid fleece, a grid-construction knit that minimizes fabric mass and maximizes fabric performance for increased warmth and lighter weight. A hydrophilic interior absorbs sweat and transfers it outside, while the exterior disperses moisture for more efficient evaporation. The grid design also creates open air channels for improved breathability. This versatile fleece gaiter can be worn around the neck or pulled over the mouth, nose and ears. The double-standard fabric is tested and certified to meet both NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112 standards for flame-resistant clothing, and also has an ARC rating of CAT 2; 20 cal/cm2 ATPV.

If your looking for a little extra warmth this things got your neck covered. A little loose but I personally want it looser then tight.

As soon as I received this product, I had to test the fire resistance on it. Step one – get my lighter. Step two – try to melt outer layer of gaiter. Step three – become impressed! It wouldn’t burn or melt. This test was complete. Next I tried it on… and it slid right down. It is very loose. I don’t have a small head. I consider myself to be a normally shaped human so I had to figure out how to keep it on my face. What worked best was to fold it about an inch down around the top on your face and wear it high on the back side. Once I got it to stay on my head properly, I found how comfortable it was. Very soft and definitely a product for a cooler day. This will keep you warm but it’s not for a warm day. Then you will sweat in it and that’s no fun. All in all, this product is worth getting as long as you can figure out how to keep it on. The outer shell is tested true to its fire resistance. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a fire resistant gaiter or mask.

If you have to wear flame resistant clothing this heavy duty built to last neck gaiter by ergodyne will fit right in! I can’t wait to use it again next winter!

I was really excited to get this gaiter and put it to the test. Working outside in the Wisconsin winter is no fun and then having to wear a mask on top of that makes it worse. I had really high hopes for this neck gaiter but the fit was just to big and kept falling down. The gaiter is very warm and comfortable but I had to roll it up some to make it fit properly. Haven’t had any run in’s to test the FR on the gaiter but if I do it will for sure protect the beard underneath!

FR-rated work clothing is a requirement for our team, and it’s nice to have multiple options for winter work that keep you warm and also keep you protected. The 6962 neck gaiter provides a nice option that can cover you from your collarbone to your spectacles, is well made and comfortable on the skin.
