The N-Ferno® 6492 2-Piece Thermal Multi-Band combines a soft fleece bottom with a dual-layer polyester top for versatile head, face and neck protection from cold, wind, sun, dust and debris. The bottom, intended for wear around the neck, is made with a soft fleece designed to provide warmth and comfort in cold temperatures while retaining breathability. The top, intended to be pulled up to cover the face or head, is made with a dual-layer, moisture-wicking polyester for breathable protection. This 2-piece multi-band is incredibly versatile, with the stretchable polyester enabling it to be worn as a neck gaiter, face mask or head covering. One size fits most, this multi-band is ideal for those working in construction, transportation, landscaping and more. The Multi-Band isn’t my go-to for winter warmth gear, but I work with plenty of guys for whom this style of gaiter is, so I thought I’d try it out. I like the versatility that it provides, especially if you need to change your configuration throughout the day, but don’t feel like toting around four different items to wear. It’s very well made, as I have come to expect from Ergodyne. The fleece lower is much thicker than the polyester top, which keeps it in place, keeping your neck warm, while the top can easily be changed around, and the poly material is smooth and comfortable against the skin of your face. Not my personal favorite, but definitely top-notch, if this is your style.

The outside layer is great at filtering through tons of dust and debris and the inside layer is everything you expect from fleece: warm, soft, and fluffy. For how thick it is, it’s surprisingly breathable and has worked well as a mask for me at work. The thickness of it helps keep it in place without adjustment much longer than a lot of other cowls, even it does squish your nose a bit. The two separate layers keeps it from being cumbersome and bunching up. I do have a hard time wearing it for long periods of time because it’s too tight around my head and puts pressure on my neck in an uncomfortable way, but that’s a very person-specific issue considering I have a MASSIVE head. Most people would find it very comfortable.

This is my favorite neck gaiter for the coldest days. It’s very long and you can either have the fleece part over your face and the printed fabric tucked into your jacket, or the printed fabric over your face and the fleece tucked into your jacket. The fleece is super soft and comfy.

Wow, so I’m a dog walker and I’ve been looking for the right neck warming device for awhile now. Many are too baggy or thick, and there’s so many useless thin ones out there. I’m enjoying the material because it’s the right level of breathability without sacrificing warmth. Having the fleece for the neck ring at the base keeps the heat around your throat even when you have the other material pulled up as a mask.

I’m happy with the performance of this neck gaiter. It kept me warm when needed and is good for medium cold days. It’s also extremely comfortable because of the added fleece layer!

Have been using this gaiter for awhile and i am really happy with this product. Its snug on my face and doesn’t suffocate or slide down. Keeps the cold off my face when winter is keeping the chill in the air or if the wind is howling. The versatility of being ale to use it as a head cover or neck gaiter or other means, is a really great buying point. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
